First of all, THANK YOU for reading my blog. I hope that you find it funny, interesting, and maybe a little helpful. I created it as an outlet to talk about things going on in my life and as an accountability tool for me to stay committed to my goals for changing my life. Maybe it can also help someone else who might be dealing with a similar situation...
ABOUT ME - THE BASICS:
I am a daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend. I'm an outspoken liberal, feminist, pro-choice activist, and fixer of other people's problems (just wish I was better at turning the reflective mirror on myself sometimes).
I'm 28 (now 29 since starting this blogging venture), single, and living in the big city of Indianapolis with my two cats who listen to my rants and keep me warm on cold nights. My life is a hot mess of health issues, dating disasters, and a seriously lacking social life. I have a loving, but sometimes dysfunctional family who wane back and forth between apathy over my roller coaster life and being overly concerned that I'm a young single woman living on my own and in need lots of help around the house.
Helping people is my passion, and it so rewarding to see the positive effect that I have on the lives of people I help. I work crazy hours for my job in the non-profit field, but my work can be very rewarding.
ABOUT ME - THE QUIRKS:
I'm usually on time or early no matter where I go, sometimes too early. Because I'm always in a hurry, it's not uncommon for me to leave the house without earrings, shoes, socks, and yes, sometimes even bras and underwear.
I love green tea, anything chocolate, am a semi-vegetarian (only eating some fish, eggs, dairy, chicken, and turkey), have a MAJOR sweet tooth, and love eating fruits and vegetables by the pound and/or straight out of the can. I have been known to make entire meals out of a can of corn and a can of fruit cocktail. LOL. I also love to make really weird food combinations like Spaghettios and Tostitos Scoops, EZ Mac with tuna and peas, and probably one of the worst ones, tuna salad subs from Subway with sour cream and onion potato chips smash in it. And did I mention, I LOVE food...
I am both a night owl and an early morning person, which translates to little sleep during the week usually. I actually find I work best at night with few distractions around, which is why you will find many of my post published last at night...that and the fact that usually I work a lot of hours during the week and don't get chances to post until after 10pm most nights anyways.
